    Project Manager for Excel (Version 3.3)

Project Manager for Excel is a software application written for Microsoft Excel that simplifies project planning, tracking, and management. It provides a method for prioritizing, assigning, dating and tracking all the tasks associated with your various projects. It can serve as a simple prioritized to do list with built in scheduled reminders or work as a full featured project manager. Its customizable user-friendly, intuitive interface makes the program fast and easy to use. It is completely compatible with Excel 97/2000/XP/2003/2007/2010/2013 and higher. Version 3.3 provides the following fixes and enhancements to version 3.2d.

  • Improved compatibility with Excel 2013.
  • Added Option button to provide access to program options from the main Projects sheet.
  • Reformatted command buttons and text on the Projects sheet for better display across all the versions of Excel.

Version 3.2d provided the following fixes and enhancements to version 3.2c.

  • Fixed a problem with 24 hour times in some foreign languages.
  • Improved context sensitive help functionality in Excel 2010.

Version 3.2c provided the following fixes and enhancements to version 3.2b.

  • Added the ability for the end user to set both the number of task priority levels and the default priority level for new tasks.
  • Fixed a problem with chart labeling not displaying correctly in Excel 2007 and Excel 2010.
  • Fixed a problem with the selected task and related cell cursor sometimes moving off the screen when changing task priorities.
  • Fixed a problem with cell comments not exporting when using the Export function

Version 3.2b provided the following fixes and enhancements to version 3.2a.

  • Fixed a run-time error when using the "Hide" function to hide the Project Manager screen.
  • Fixed a run-time error when using the "Create Template" function to create a template from projects that contained tasks with start dates but no due dates.
  • Added spell checking capabilities.
  • Improves date handling when creating project templates and new projects.

Version 3.2a provides the following fixes and enhancements to version 3.2.

  • Added vertical scroll bars to the Note, and additional columns fields in the Task dialog box.

Version 3.2 provides the following fixes and enhancements to version 3.1b.

  • Updated the digital code signature that insures the proper origin and security of all the program macros.
  • Provided expanded multi-line field boxes for additional column fields in the Task dialog box.
  • Provided column wrapping in task and additional column fields.

Version 3.1b provides the following fixes and enhancements to version 3.1a.

  • Fixed a problem with an empty task being created on initial startup.

Version 3.1a provided the following fixes and enhancements to version 3.1.

  • Forces the Projects to re-sort alphabetically when changing a project name.
  • Adds the color gray to the background color selections.
  • Adds the ability to export the Projects sheet to a separate file.
  • Eliminates the program collapsing all projects when adding a new project.
  • Fixes a problem with the print function printing an additional column.
  • Fixes a problem with the additional columns fields in the new task dialog box already containing text from an existing task.

Version 3.1 provided the following fixes and enhancements to version 3.0b.

  • Adds the ability to include the task owner on Gantt charts.
  • Adds the ability to sort all projects and associated tasks at once.
  • Adds the ability to set task reminders by default.
  • Uses a larger, easier to read font on the Projects sheet.
  • Provides an option for omitting completed tasks on Gantt charts.

Version 3.0b provided the following fixes and enhancements to version 3.0a.

  • Fixes a problem with the completed data not populating correctly in the Task dialog box when editing a completed task.

Version 3.0a provided the following fixes and enhancements to version 3.0.

  • Adds past due section to Gantt chart bars for uncompleted tasks that are past due.
  • Fixes rare run-time error that could occur when the first task of the first project listed in the program is past due.
  • Clears the bogus Gantt chart title in the initial empty Gantt chart.

Version 3.0 provides the following fixes and enhancements to version 2.2e

  • Adds ability to track project tasks by start date and completed date in addition to due date.
  • Adds ability to assign tasks to a Task Owner.
  • Adds the ability to sort project tasks by start date, completed date and task owner in addition to priority and due date.
  • Adds the ability to create project templates to utilize for future projects.
  • Adds the ability to delete all the completed tasks for a single project.
  • Adds the ability to hide completed tasks.
  • Adds an integrated date selection calendar to make entering accurate dates fast and easy.
  • Adds the ability to automatically create project Gantt Charts.

Version 2.2e provided the following fixes and enhancements to version 2.2d

  • Updates the digital code signature that insures the proper origin and security of all the program macros.

Version 2.2d provided the following fixes and enhancements to version 2.2c

  • Fixed a problem with a Runtime Error 91 when entering a new cell note.
  • Fixed a problem with cell notes shrinking when adding and deleting projects.

Version 2.2c provided the following fixes and enhancements to version 2.2b

  • Eliminated run-time error with some foreign languages
  • Fixed Save on Close option to save only when necessary

Version 2.2b provided the following fixes and enhancements to version 2.2a

  • Provided backward compatibility with Excel 97.
  • Fixed a run-time error 13 - type mismatch error that occurred on some earlier Excel installations.

Version 2.2a provided the following fixes and enhancements to Version 2.2.

  • Fixed problem with cell comments that exceeded 255 characters not being displayed.
  • Provided feature to automatically size cell comments to display the entire comment.
  • Fixed problem with importing data from previous version not recognizing old date/time formatting which could result in run-time error.
  • Fixed problem with printed task lists not fitting on horizontal page width with some printers.
  • When Save On Close option is selected, file is only saved when necessary.
  • Added feature to show file location in Options dialog box.

Version 2.2 provided the following enhancements to Version 2.0.

  • Ability to sort tasks by date or priority.
  • Ability to track both due date and completion date.
  • Provides a digital code signature to insure the proper origin and security of all the program macros.
  • Several interface improvements.

Version 2.0 provided the following enhancements to Version 1.5.

  • Numerous interface enhancements provide additional ease of use.

Version (1.5) provided the following enhancements to Versions 1.0 & 1.1.

  • Provides an options dialog box that allows the user the option of automatically hiding Task Manager and/or automatically saving the Task Manager workbook on close.
  • Provides automated upgrade feature to automatically import data from previous versions.
  • Provides distribution in a self-extracting archive.
