Project Manager for Excel Help

Installation

Project Manager for Excel is easy to install. Run the PRJMGRXL.EXE download file to start the program installer that will install the program on your computer. (If you downloaded the PRJMGRXL.ZIP file instead, just extract all the files and follow the directions below.) The Project Manager for Excel workbook is named PMXL400.XLSM. (The last two characters of the file name reflect the version number, i.e. 400 is version 4.00. Don't worry if your file ends with 4.05 or 4.11, etc. The file names change accordingly with maintenance releases.) Documentation is provided online in the Project Manager for Excel Help section of our website. A registration form is provided as a Word file - REGISTER.DOC.

To uninstall Project Manager for Excel, use the Uninstall link in the Project Manager for Excel program group or use the Apps applet in Windows Settings. If you downloaded the zip file version, there is nothing to uninstall. Simply delete your Project Manager for Excel file when you no longer wish to use it.

You can rename the PMXL400.XLSM file if you desire. However, this will disable the Windows Start Menu Group shortcut and Desktop shortcut that the program installs. Right-click on the desktop shortcut icon and select Properties from the shortcut menu to modify the shortcut properties to point to the new file name. Unfortunately, there's no easy way to fix the broken link on the Windows Start Menu.

If you are currently using an earlier release of Project Manager for Excel, you can easily import your data from the old release into the new version. Use the link below for specific instructions.

You may receive a security warning when you open Golf Tracker for Excel for the first time and you will need to Enable Content for the macros in the program to function. See the Enable Content (Macros) topic for more details and additional instructions if you have trouble enabling the macros.
